NOLEN AND LELA GOLDEN
AFTER WORLD WAR II
Lela lived in Hamilton Ohio for the first few years working around town.
Then the two of them with their daughter, Trudi and son, Ron, where called
into the ministry as actors and singers in The Jackie Burris Illustrated
This is a poster from the time they where with Jackie.
They left Jackie to be the Minister of Music, Nolen, and the Secretary for Lester Sumeral, Lela.. Here is Nolen with the choir at Calvary Temple In Indiana.
In 1959 Nolen formed The Nolen Golden Trio, consisting of Nolen, Tenor, Lela, Soprano, and Trudi (age 11), Alto. They where a group till sometime in 1966-1967, Trudi left the group, then called "The Nolen Golden Trio Plus Two". the plus two where their son, Ron and youngest daughter, Debbie. You, see... in 1963 the whole family jumped into the car, a 1963 Pontiac Catalina, left their home and house to travel full time in evangelistic music ministry. For about three years The Goldens traveled all over the United States, Canada, Bahamas, and the British West Indies, without any home base.

In 1985 Nolen, Lela, and Trudi got together and performed a "REUNION CONCERT " at Hillside Chapel Of The Christian & Missionary Alliance 3515 Shakertown Road, Dayton, OH 45430 (937) 426-7537 .
